did you talk to me?
i've always had trouble with speech.
i guess i don't mind you hovering...
always hovering somewhere, just out of reach,
on another side...
on another side?
chasing butterflies
under pearlescent skies,
look right through me
with glowing blue eyes
fixed on episode three,
season infinity
darken[ing] all you can see
always a puzzle to me.
or were you singing?
i know that we're bound to descend
i bet you'll be good at it soon,
or maybe you could start to pretend!
pull against the tide...
pull against the tide?
strap in for the ride,
seldom demoralized.
oh, i could accompany you,
maybe you'll stay around?
claiming your section
of the frequency spectrum
with a robot like me...
it's a reasonable fantasy.
but no one and nothing is free.
chances are it'll be just fine,
to be.

On June 11, 2011, The first Brony vs. Brony Remix War was organized by NotACleverPony. It was an experiment, with brony musicians remixing other brony musicians who offered their stems to anyone who wanted. Upon its success, there were several more in short time, with Remix Wars 2 and 3 following within a month and Remix War 4 (which had around 200 entries!) in autumn 2011. My Little Remix, an important hub of the early brony music community, was made as a result of the community coming together over Remix War.
Now, it's 10 years in the future! Whoa! A bunch of brony musicians from the early fandom who were active on MLR in 2011 or thereabouts ended up in a reunion situation, and as a result, have created a tribute to Remix War in the form of Remix War X: a collection of new and never-before-heard remixes of fellow bronies from "back then!"
This album is 100% free, in spirit with the music from the first Remix Wars. If it runs out of free downloads, a mirror download link will be provided.
ALSO: if there is enough interest, a revival of the public concept of a Remix War could happen in the near future! Look out for that!
